UPDATE: August 3, 2011

Our Project Serve Team is now traveling to the orphanage and the backpack project was a great success – thank you for your support! Should you wish to support Rancho Milagro, let us know and we’ll connect you.

School supplies, uniforms, text books and backpacks all cost a lot of money. When you have electrical bills, gas and medical bills to cover, school supplies can seem like a low priority.

We are so privileged to have an abundance of new stuff. If you have new or gently used backpacks or school supplies, consider donating them to a child in need.

Items needed include:

  • highlighters
  • pens: blue, red, and black
  • pencils
  • white out
  • scissors
  • pencil sharpeners
  • scientific calculators
  • notebooks (no spirals)

Please drop all items off @ Fraserview: 11295 Mellis Drive, Richmond BC

We are also happy to shop for you! Provide your monetary donation and will will purchase the necessary supplies.

We started Project Serve Mexico in the late 80’s. Since then, we’ve had over 500 young people participate in this life-changing social just ice program.

Infrastructure: the basic physical and organizational structures needed for the operation of a society or enterprise. We will help our Mexican friends with tilling, fire-break restoration, electrical work, painting, weeding and clean up. If you don’t know what this stuff is, you should be coming along!

Community and Social: Helping to fix up the place means nothing if we don’t get to know the folks that live there! We will do programs for children – crafts, carnival, sports, sing, tell stories, have fun and show them that we really care and love them.

YOU! Nightly chill by the campfire, sing, share about the day, tell stories & listen to some new ones. Discover what driving the 4600+ km roadtrip will do to your character! You’ll be part of a team, you’ll work hard, and discover that you can make a difference in the lives of others! You will also not be stuck in front of a TV or gaming console for this time, so you might find yourself developing some new skills!
