The Fridge is a non-profit organization which cares about, and believes in, the potential of young people.
We aim to create a safe, positive, and constructive environment through our quality, affordable youth programs. We continually work to make genuine connections with local youth; lending support, imparting skills, mentoring, and modeling a balanced approach to daily living.
The Fridge believes that today’s youth *are* contributing and valuable members of our society. With cooperation with local high schools and community centres, our outreach programs aim to foster growth and maturity, prevention education, skills training, volunteer opportunities and peer2peer support.
Goals
To provide opportunities for indoor and outdoor activities as well as discussions which stimulate growth in all areas of life: physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual.
Mission
The mission of The Fridge is to serve the community of Richmond by focusing on the needs of young people.
Policy
In order to provide a safe place for youth, we expect some general rules and policies to be followed so that parent/guardian and community confidence can be assured. We seek to be legal, safe and respectful in everything we do. We do not tolerate illegal behaviour that jeopardizes the safety of our participants and/or the reputation of our programs. Behaviours which disrespect our staff, neighbours, local businesses, etc. are *not* acceptable.
