Today we welcomed our foray into town and a huge buffet-o-pizza at Peter Piper Pizza. It’s similar to Chuck E. Cheese although I don’t think Peter is of the rodent variety. The language barrier continues to be a problem as one of our males entered the woman’s washroom by mistake. Naturally we went out of our way not to make a big deal of this (yeah right), even though it was very funny. After we ate, we took the Milagro kids into the arcade area to blow some coin on the electronic games. While the older kids went on their own.
I helped a little boy named Felix whose leg is broken. I carried him around to the games he wanted to play. It was very tiring, but I had a lot of fun and I think Felix did too. J – Saira D.
Before leaving Peter Piper Pizza, we all enjoyed some delicious soft-serve ice cream. It tasted like melted cotton candy on a cone. Later, we all took a group picture in front of P.P.P. on a platform in the plaza, then headed back on the school bus with the kids for a bouncy ride back to the ranch. The rest of the group that didn’t fit on the bus had to go in Silver Fox and were not seen for hours afterwards since they had some errands to get done. Once everybody got back, there was a choice to either chill until dinner or go blow off some unused steam with the kids.
For dinner Jenny whipped us up some chicken jambalaya accompanied with salad and flour tortillas. Naturally, it was delicious. After dinner everyone got changed for chapel, and went to the fire for foot washing, then proceeded to chapel. The skit that was performed at chapel was run by Jaya, who was reading the story while others acted it out. Following chapel, we all played with the children until it was time for campfire.
During campfire, we got involved in an activity called “Minute to Pick It” (believe it or not, it’s not a game where you pick noses) it’s actually a game where Eric or Nick would read out 3 names of our team who would then go sit on separate benches. Then a question is asked along with the lines of “who would you rather go to when _______?” The rest of the group would respond by standing with the person they choose. It was a lesson to show how we all have strengths and specific gifts that God gives us – and how those gifts are to be used to bring glory to God and to build up and encourage others. [Following campfire, there was the option of going on the night hike or going straight to bed. We both chose to go to bed.
So overall, we had a busy and tiring day, but we still had an awesome time with the kids! Tomorrow we hit the beach after our morning work crew duties. - Amanda G. & Saira D.

We are praying that nothing has happend to the laptop that has the past 3 days worth of wonderful photos and daily recaps. Possibly you are planning to skype us during church tommorrow instead ? One country closer, yet you feel still so far away
Hi Marisa. No Skype during church planned, and no, nothing happened to the laptop. Just a bit behind with all the busyness that is surrounding our trip. Hope to be caught by noon tomorrow! I’ve had such a good time photographing this group. Such a GREAT team. Good night, and thanks for being in touch.
